Stream on Twitch allows you to record directly your gaming process and share it with your friends or the gamer community.
Twitch TV is an increasingly popular stream game service. The popularity of this service has enabled it to be chosen to be stream services on both the Xbox One and PS4 – two of the latest gaming systems from Microsoft and Sony. Stream on Twitch is a direct record your gaming process and share it with friends or community of gamers playing the same game.
Twitch supports only public streams, which means that when you stream, anyone can view them. So if you want to stream just a group of friends, you might want to move to a similar service called Justin.tv. Here we choose Twitch because it is the most popular service today. The processes for streaming with this service are quite similar to Twitch.
Twitch highly recommend high configuration for stream games: Intel Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz chip or AMD equivalent chip, at least 8GB of DDR3 SDRAM memory, and Windows 7 (Windows Vista or XP is not the ideal choice for using Twitch).

Get Twitch.tv Code
The first thing you need to do is sign up for a free Twitch account. Visit the Twitch TV website and create an account. Once created, click on the account name at the top right corner of the Twitch homepage and select Dashboard, click on the Stream Key tab and click on the Show Key button below.
You will use this key to stream to your channel. Anyone using this code can stream to your channel, so do not share it with anyone else.
Set up for Open Broadcaster Software
Unlike the stream Twitch direct-intergrate function built into the PS4 and Xbox One, most games require a third party stream application for their streams. Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) is such a software. This application is preferred because it is free, open source. It allows video recording and streaming, and it is possible to stream on Twitch. OBS also allows you to add external components, such as video streamed directly from webcams, to your stream process.
You download OBS, install and then open the application. This software uses scenes, and source, for streams. By default it will use a scene and in fact this does not cause any problems. However, a scene can have one or more sources, so you can set a scene to display the content of a game window, or display a game window and a webcam. You can also set up a custom scene for each game you want to stream, then switch among scenes.
What you need to do is add a game window for the source of the scene. You open the game and run the game underground. Once the game is up and running, right click on the Sources box, point to Add, and select Game Capture.
Select the application you want to capture (like CSGO, LOL, Hearthstone…) and click OK. These settings also allow for later revisions – by right-clicking on the recording source in the Sources list and choosing Properties. Then, the Preview Stream button will allow you to preview your stream.
Use Monitor Capture mode
Game Capture mode is not effective for all games. If you see the appearance of a black screen while playing a game, it means something has happened.
The OBS website also noted that OpenGL games – including Minecraft games – were bugged with Game Capture. So if you encounter an error and the game stream does not work as expected, you need to use the Monitor Capture mode. This mode go back to your entire desktop, including the game. However, note that you need to turn off the Aero effect of Windows. This effect consumes system resources and can make it difficult to stream.
To use the Monitor Capture mode, first right click on the Game Capture source and click Remove. You right-click inside the Sources box and add the Monitor Capture mode.
Setting OBS to Stream on twitch
Next you need to connect OBS to your Twitch channel. Click Settings in OBS and select Settings. Click on Broadcast Settings, set Mode to Live Streaming, and set Streaming Service to Twitch / Justin.tv. Select the server closest to you and enter the code Twitch we mentioned at the beginning of the article. You also need to change some settings on the encoding to ensure that the stream can be optimized. The Broadcast Settings section notifys what you will need to adjust. In addition, you can go to Advanced to set up some other advanced settings.
At this step you can stream the game to the Twitch, but if the stream is not smooth, you may need to go back and visit the Encoding section in OBS and change the settings to the graphics quality . The setting will depend on the hardware strength of the machine as well as the internet speed you use. OBS also provides the Stream Settings Estimator tool to help you optimize your settings.
